About Gino Lucciano Carrera Servin

Gino Lucciano Carrera Servin is a sales coordinator specializing in window sales for residential and commercial clients. A native-born Paraguayan, he is currently based in Orlando, Florida, where he formerly worked as a door-to-door sales specialist.

A Lifelong Passion for Taekwondo

Gino has always had a strong passion for music and sports, a passion that dates back to his childhood in Paraguay. In addition to studying flute and classical guitar, he also played soccer and volleyball.

However, among his many extracurricular activities, he was especially drawn to Taekwondo. From a very early age, he demonstrated exceptional talent and skill in the martial art.

Gino began training in Taekwondo at the age of six. After years of rigorous training, he became a 4th-degree black belt holder and taught at the Almiron Taekwondo Center in Asunción, Paraguay, from 2010 to 2018.

In 2014, Gino attended the Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Nacional de Asunción in Paraguay, where he enrolled in the engineering program. He remained at the university until 2018.

However, despite his affinity for engineering, Gino Lucciano Carrera Servin paused his studies with only a year left to complete his military service. While still a college student, he signed up for the University Olympics competition in Asuncion, Paraguay, in the Taekwondo Team Sparring category.

Again, Gino proved his mettle in the sport, justifying his departure from his engineering studies. With his skill and natural martial arts ability, he achieved the remarkable feat of placing second for two years in a row.

As Gino realized early on, excelling in Taekwondo takes more than physical strength. It demands discipline, focus, and resilience. Success in this martial art requires consistent training, mental toughness, and the ability to stay composed under pressure.

Gino was also keenly aware of the importance of showing respect for instructors and opponents, as well as the values that Taekwondo stands for. His years of training taught him that progress is built through repetition, correction, and an unwavering drive to improve.

He also learned that sparring calls for quick thinking, adaptability, and confidence. These lessons proved to be invaluable in executing the Taekwondo patterns known as poomsae, which require precision, rhythm, and deep concentration.

Gino embodies all of these qualities. His innate discipline was evident in the way he never missed training and consistently pushed himself, even during the toughest sessions. Like the most accomplished martial arts practitioners, he remained focused during matches and when learning complex forms or refining techniques.

Perhaps Gino’s most important quality is his willingness to listen to feedback and apply it immediately, showing his respect for the sport and his instructors. Furthermore, he never backed down from a challenge and always remained composed, even in high-stress competitions. His physical and mental resilience allowed him to bounce back from setbacks stronger than before.

Gino Assumes the Role of Taekwondo Instructor

Over time, Gino consistently demonstrated that he doesn’t just practice Taekwondo — he lives it. With his attitude, work ethic, and mindset, he demonstrated precisely what it takes to not only succeed in the sport but also stand out. These qualities eventually led him to become a Taekwondo instructor in the United States, a position he held for three and a half years.

Gino proved to be just as capable as a Taekwondo instructor as he was a practitioner of the sport. His efforts led to him being awarded Ambassador of the Year in 2020 and Program Director of the Year in 2021. He again merited the Program Director of the Year distinction in 2023.

Gino also displayed exemplary ability as a Taekwondo school administrator. While concurrently serving as an instructor, he significantly improved the school’s sales system, effectively doubling the student count and increasing the business’s financial growth by up to 42%. This indicated not only an aptitude for the sport but also his potential as a business manager.

A Stint in the Paraguay Reserve Group

Anyone with such a lengthy list of accomplishments would be justified in resting on their laurels. But not Gino Lucciano Carrera Servin. After leaving the Universidad Nacional de Asuncion in Paraguay, he enlisted in the Paraguay Reserve Group’s naval division, undergoing three rigorous training periods of three months, each spread out over two years.

Unsurprisingly, Gino once again displayed exceptional ability in this new role. He achieved a very respectable third-place ranking after the first training period, later rising to second place in the second and third training periods.

This stellar performance led to Gino being bestowed the rank of Reserve Officer “Guardiamarina de Reserva,” with no less than four offers and recommendations to continue a military career. With his outstanding display of leadership and determination, he was recommended by three training officers and a high-ranking officer.

Behind the Scenes: Gino’s Private Life

For those who know Gino professionally, his image is that of a passionate Taekwondo practitioner and a capable Reserve Officer. However, in his private life, he is a loving husband, father, and devout Catholic. He has a lengthy history of working with Christian men’s groups in outreach missions to poor community schools, attesting to his spirituality and depth of character.
